Navigation Basics
The Teacher Dashboard
This is where you can access rosters, seating charts, important student information, and print off reports.
Accessing PowerTeacher Pro
To access PowerSchool Pro, you can click on the link under Navigation. You can also access it underneath each class.
Assignments
Creating Assignments
Click on Create
Add an Assignment Name
Select Assignment-Elementary
You can now Save
Assigning to Students
Click on Students Tab
Click Add/Remove Students
Click the top box to Deselect All
Select Student(s) to Assign
Duplicating Assignments
Click on the Assignment
Click on Edit Assignment
Click on Duplicate Assignment
Rename the assignment
Select the class you are duplicating the assignment too
Click on Save and Close
Categories
Hiding Categories
You have access to a ton of district categories. To customize what you see.
Click on Grading
Select Categories
Click Edit next to the category you don’t want to see.
Change Status to Inactive
Click Save
Weighting Categories
Click on the Settings
Click on the Traditional Grade Calculations
Click on the pencil icon to edit (only edit the Quarters)
Click on drop down to display Category Weighting
Click on + symbol to add additional weights to equal 100%
Click Save when finished
*Weights/Percentages must equal each other*
Categories
Adding Grades
Click on the Assignment
Select the student cell where you want to input the grade
Enter the score for each student and hit Enter
Click Save Scores when finished
Fill Down Grades
Click on an empty cell to enter a grade
Select “Fill” Assignment to fill a column
It will fill in the entire column with that same grade
You can manually override individual grades
Click Save Scores when finished
