Information on the MacBook Exchange for 2025-2026 School Year
Diffit is a freemium AI resource that has been my favorite sign discovering it in July. It has many features that are available in other platforms, but offers some valuable additional features that really set this resource apart from the others.
While there are premium features coming, they have said that many of the resources we use and love will remain free!
Diffit can be used to generate informational articles and passages that you can use in your classroom.
Go to Diffit and make sure you are on the first tab entitled 🔎 Literally Anything
Type in your topic (being as specific as possible) and choose your grade level.
Select Generate Resources →
As a bonus, you can click on the Show Sources button to see where it's pulling the information from to check its accuracy and validity.
Diffit can be used to adapt any website articles, youtube videos, and PDF's to a particular grade level.
Go to Diffit and make sure to select 🔗An Article or Video (URL)
Paste in your URL of the video, article, or PDF and select your grade level.
Select Generate Resources →
Diffit can be used to adapt any text from a document OR any PDF that you have downloaded on your computer.
Go to Diffit and make sure you are on the first tab entitled 📄 Any Text or Excerpt
Either copy and paste your text in or upload the PDF.

Whether you generate a resource from scratch, adapt a Youtube video or website article, or upload a PDF, you will get the sample resource set from Diffit. Each set includes the following:
Grade Level Specific Resource: You can copy, edit, and even show the sources of this particular resource. At the top you can also change the length of that resource if you'd like to shorten/lengthen the passage.
Summary: A quick couple of bullet points summarizing the article/resource for you and your students.
Key Vocabulary Words: A list of important vocabulary words that appear in the passage/resource along with their specific-to-the-passage definitions.
Multiple Choice Questions: A couple of passage focused multiple choice questions.
Short Answer & Open Ended Questions: A few questions from the resource that require a bit more thought and an open response.
Within each resource set, you have the ability to customize each of the following items:
Edit the length of the resource by shortening or lengthening the resource to fit what you need
Add as many vocabulary terms as you'd like!
Edit the summary to include more information if you need.
Customize/Add questions based on DOK (*This is a premium feature that is available until January with Beta)
Add cover image for exporting purposes
These wonderful options will be premium by spring (if not sooner). So, my advice is sign up now and enjoy them while you can! This tool will be useful even after some of the features are behind a paywall as you'll always be able to copy/paste.
