Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the Eastern York School District. EYSD has implemented a new volunteer registration procedure which became effective November 1, 2021. This procedure will replace the paper application that was previously utilized. All new and returning volunteers must complete the online volunteer registration procedure in order to be considered for approval for the remainder of the 2021/2022 school year.

This new registration procedure will consist of the following steps:

  1. Completion of the online registration form (see links below)

  2. Obtain and submit volunteer clearances. Clearances can be uploaded directly to your volunteer registration or submitted to HR in person or via email. If you believe you already have current clearances on file with the District please contact Kyle Hinkle (using the contact information below) to confirm their status.

  3. Print, sign and submit the Volunteer COVID Waiver, Volunteer Disclosure Statement and Volunteer Act 24 Form. Signed documents can be uploaded directly to your volunteer registration form or submitted to HR in person or via email. Documents can be found here - Volunteer Registration Documents_21/22 . If you are unable to print the documents, paper copies will be available in all District offices.

  4. Obtain a TB test result only if you wish to be an Athletic/Co-Curricular volunteer or a School volunteer who will volunteer more than 10 hours in any week. Test result can be uploaded directly to your volunteer registration form or submitted to HR in person or via email.

Upon receipt of your completed volunteer registration, your information will be reviewed and your approval status will be determined.

You will receive an email to confirm your status within two weeks of your submission date.

Please note - you will not be permitted to volunteer until you have been approved by Human Resources.

Important Volunteer Information:

  • Clearances for all new and inactive volunteers must be dated within the last year.

  • All athletic and co-curricular volunteers are required to submit a TB test result dated within the past two years.

  • In order to remain an “active” volunteer you must volunteer at least one time each school year. Volunteers who are listed as “inactive” will be required to resubmit volunteer documents and updated clearances if they wish to volunteer within the district again.

▪ Select “new record check (volunteers only)”

▪ After completion of request you will be granted immediate access to your record check result.

▪ Click on link provided to open and print official report with PA state seal in the background.

Applying for PA Child Abuse History Clearance/Act 151

▪ Visit https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home

▪ Select “create individual account” – follow steps to create Keystone ID and password

▪ Select “create clearance application”

▪ Be prepared to provide the names of all individuals with whom you have lived with since 1975 (ex. parents, guardians, siblings, spouses, children, etc.)

▪ Select “Volunteer” under purpose

▪ After completion of application you will be granted online access to your clearance within two weeks. You will be notified via e-mail when the result is available.

Applying for FBI Criminal Background Check/Act 114

**Required only for volunteers who have resided in the Commonwealth of PA for less than 10 years**

  • Visit https://uenroll.identogo.com

  • Enter PA Department of Education service code - 1KG6XN

  • Select “schedule or manage appointment”

  • Complete personal information and select identity document for enrollment

  • Select location for appointment

  • Choose appointment time or register as a walk in

  • Payment is collected at fingerprinting site (major credit cards, money orders or cashier’s check)

  • Provide your “UEID” to Human Resources.
