Health and Safety Statement

The Eastern York School District is committed to protecting the health and safety of our students, staff, and those who participate in the functions of the District. Losses from injury and illness due to accidents are needless, costly and completely preventable. The District has established a Safety Program that will help prevent illness and injury due to hazards. Our goal is to provide a safe and productive place to work, learn, and grow.

The Safe2Say Something program, which is mandated under PA state law/Act 44, provides an anonymous reporting system where concerned students, parents or community members can submit a tip related to the health, safety or well-being of students in our schools. The Safe2Say Something (S2SS) reporting system is available via a mobile app, website interface or toll-free phone number.

Say Something is a youth violence prevention program from Sandy Hook Promise – a national violence prevention organization. Say Something Anonymous Reporting System allows youth and adults to submit secure & anonymous safety concerns to help identify and intervene upon at-risk individuals BEFORE they hurt themselves or others. The system enables school administrators and law enforcement to create effective interventions and to help prevent violence, suicide, bullying, self-harm and other forms of threatening behavior.

With our Anonymous Reporting System, it’s easy and completely confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies.
