Eastern York School District accepted into the League of Innovative Schools
As a result of the work of our district over the past few years, yesterday, Eastern York School District was accepted into the League of Innovative Schools, a national coalition of forward-thinking K-12 school districts organized by Digital Promise, a global nonprofit working to expand opportunity for every learner by bringing together solutions across research, practice, and technology. The Digital Promise League of Innovative Schools – launched in 2011 under President Barack Obama, within the United States Department of Education, accepts new members through an open application process once per year. The selection committee was impressed with our vision for innovation and commitment to ensuring that all students have opportunities to succeed.

As of October 1, 2022, and through the end of the 2022-2023 School Year, since the Eastern York School District participates in the School Breakfast Program, we will be serving students a school breakfast meal at no charge. The District will still be charging for additional breakfast meals or A la Carte breakfast items.
This change is only applicable to the School Breakfast Program in the 2022-2023 School Year. The District will be charging for the School Lunch Program. This does not affect a student’s eligibility status for lunch (free, reduced, and paid, respectively). Families should continue to complete the free and reduced lunch application to qualify for those benefits.
