October Meetings of the Board of School Directors
At Eastern York School District, our Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment framework is guided by the Pennsylvania Academic Standards and brought to life through the Eastern Edge Modern Curriculum. This framework defines the essential concepts, content, and skills that ALL students must know and be able to do in every classroom. Our goal is to reimagine a 21st-century education by balancing core knowledge, discipline-specific skills, and authentic, real-world problem solving.
Knowledge – Build a strong foundation of core learning
Skills – Develop critical and discipline-specific competencies
Authentic Learning – Apply knowledge and skills to real-world problems
Personalized Pathways – Flexibility in time, place, pace, and method
Ownership – Transparent learning goals and student voice
Pennsylvania Core Standards - These standards define the knowledge and skills our students need as defined by the state of Pennsylvania.

District ATLAS Curriculum Warehouse - The district is in the process of reviewing and revising our K-12 curriculum for web publication. Throughout this process courses will be migrating to our publicly accessible curriculum warehouse, Atlas.
Teaching to the edges involves a cyclical process to address all learners' needs:
Plan - What do students need to know, understand, and be able to do.
Teach - How will we teach effectively to ensure all students learn?
Assess - How will we know what students have learned?
Reflect - What do students do when they exceed or do not meet proficiency expectations?
