Entrepreneurship I (Tiger Shack)

Students will learn the skills necessary to operate a business. The primary focus of the course is to help students understand retailing, e-tailing, merchandising, and marketing concepts. Students will develop a plan to organize and promote our student-based store (Tiger Shack) and its products/services. In addition, students understand the capital required, the return on investment desired, and the potential for profit. Students will gain knowledge of techniques used in current advertising, including print, broadcast, and digital media. Students analyze the primary functions of human resources management, which include recruitment, selection, training, development, and compensation.
