APPROACH
Theoretical
The course aims at providing sound theoretical knowledge of the main theatre authors of the 20th Century, starting from the raise of the director’s theatre in Europe.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Know the history of theatre in the 20th Century
Understand the variety of theatrical forms and experiences
Analysis of historic and cultural trends of the modern and contemporary theatre
Single-subject lectures on selected directors and authors
Video projection of theatre performances and shows
This is a theoretical course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects to be developed.
Front lectures
Students engagement in debates, presentations, peer assessment
Use of tutorials, videos or other multi-media material
Exercises and revisions
Individual study and research
