APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This course prepares the students to design the fitting of a location. It includes front lectures, location surveys and classroom workshops.
The total credits for this course are 6, divided as follows:
MEDIA AND EVENTS DIRECTION: 3 CFA
MEDIA AND EVENTS DIRECTION WORKSHOP: 3 CFA
Successful students will be able to:

Understand the specific professional characteristics of a set designer
Be aware of the possible issues, and of the concerned professional and technical roles
Evaluate the feasibility of projects using estimative and interpretative methods
MEDIA AND EVENTS DIRECTION WORKSHOP:
Develop a video project for an event
Analysing the problems of developing a video project for an event
Use software for the development of video animations
MEDIA AND EVENTS DIRECTION:
Analysis of location, issues, as well as the specific needs linked to environment and display of an exhibition inside a museum
Creation of a meta-project
Creation of the broader project
Identification of ideal communication strategies for the project
MEDIA AND EVENTS DIRECTION WORKSHOP:
Direction of an event that is related to the exhibition
Development of video installations that are related to the exhibition
Meeting different professional figures
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects to be developed.
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other multi-media material
Exercises and revisions
Laboratories
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Oral exams
Submission of papers, essays or project work
