Theoretical
This course investigates the contemporary visual culture and the complexity of nowadays’ visual experiences.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Understand and decode the contemporary visual culture
Be familiar with the contemporary visual culture
Make mindful use of photographic images
Analyse the contamination across different expressive disciplines, such as photography, plastic arts, cinema, and fashion
Through front lessons, lectures and visits to exhibitions and museums, the students analyse the genealogy of visual experiences by retracing the rise and development of photography, which has allowed modernity to meet the everyday life.
This is a theoretical course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects to be developed.
Front lectures
Students engagement in debates, presentations, peer assessment
Use of tutorials, videos or other multi-media material
