APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This course, divided in two modules, studies in detail the necessary tools to conceive a theatre show. It includes the creation of technical drawings and visualisations with the use of 2D and 3D drawing software applications.
The total credits for this course are 10, divided as follows:
3D VISUALISATION FOR THEATRE: 5 CFA
CAD DESIGN FOR THEATRE: 5 CFA
Successful students will be able to:
3D VISUALISATION FOR THEATRE:
Model their set design project
Create professional renders
Identify the most suitable graphic line for a performance
CAD DESIGN FOR THEATRE:
Understand the needs of the theatrical space
Manage the executive part of a project
3D VISUALISATION FOR THEATRE:
Architectural modelling
Experimentation with personal creative graphic lines to carry out the rendering phase
Use of rendering techniques for visualisations and sketches, with the study of the perspective grid
Use of Photoshop for post-production
CAD DESIGN FOR THEATRE:
Analysis of the identified theatre
Drawing of map, scale section, and executive drawings
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects to be developed.
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other multi-media material
Exercises and revisions
Laboratories
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Oral exam
Comprehensive projects
