APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The course provides the students with the necessary professional tools to design a set for performing arts and exhibitions, enabling them to deliver comprehensive projects designed for contemporary audiences. Over this academic year, the students will devise scenes and costumes for a ballet.
This course is made of a single module of 10 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Analyse a theatrical text
Develop a personal creative vision of the show starting from the text
Be aware of the scenic space in relation to actors and technicians
Create sketches, maps, sections, and executive drawings
Development of a moodboard
Development of an idea for scenes and costumes
Sketches for scenery and costumes
Creation of scale models
Creation of maps, sections and executive drawings using CAD software applications
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects to be developed.
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other multi-media material
Exercises and revisions
Laboratories
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
