APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This course aims at analysing and creating special effects that are outside the boundaries of the use of computers, with the use of latex moulds and professional make-up. Characterisation with the use of special make-up, prostheses, and theatrical masks will be studied in detail.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Sculpt modelling clay and create plaster moulds
Create many types of impromptu effects: cuts, wounds, burns, bleedings, bruises...
Analysis of special make-up and theatrical masks for the definition of characters
Impromptu effects
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects to be developed.
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other multi-media material
Exercises and revisions
Laboratories
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
