APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
On this course, photography is placed within the broader context of the development of western cultures and visions; it is put in relation with other disciplines and with the development of mankind. The goal is to understand how representation has changed over the course of art history, until the development of optic images, photography and cinema.
This course is made of a single module of 8 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Develop analytical skills with regard to photographic images
Know the history of photography and arts
Enhance their awareness in approaching artistic projects
Dramaturgy of images
Analysis of different forms of representation in human history
Theory and history of photography
Development of the design phase
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects to be developed.
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other multi-media material
Exercises and revisions
Laboratories
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
