The physiotherapist is a specialized medical professional who is responsible for the treatment of spinal strain, pain, sports injuries, burns, rehabilitation of the limbs, rehabilitation of the brain and nervous system. Physiotherapy is a non-pharmacological treatment that generally restores bodily functions through different physical stimulation of the human body. The main tasks of a physiotherapist include:
物理治療師是專職醫護人員，專門負責治療脊椎勞損、痛症、運動創傷、燒傷、四肢復康、腦神經系統復康等。而物理治療屬於非藥物治療，一般透過對人體進行不同物理刺激來恢復身體機能。物理治療師的主要工作包括：
Clinical examination and treatment by means of electrical, magnetic, hydraulic, refrigeration, thermal and other mediums, and diagnosis of diseases related to bone, muscle and nervous system
以電能、磁力、水力、冷凍、熱能等媒介進行臨床檢查及治療，並且診斷有關骨骼、肌肉及神經系統的疾病
Use different equipment and therapies for rehabilitation and relieve the pain of patients
運用不同的器材及療法進行復康保健，舒緩患者痛楚
With the application of physiological, psychological, pathological and anatomical sciences, investigate, study and develop more appropriate treatment for patients with pain
配合應用生理、心理、病理和解剖科學，研發更適合痛症病人的治療方法

About 48 hours a week, work in shifts in public hospitals

Entry requirements 入職條件
Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
具備物理治療理學士學位，或同等學歷
Be registered as a physiotherapist with the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association and hold a valid practicing certificate
在香港物理治療師管理委員會註冊為物理治療師及持有效的執業證書
