Enrolled Nurse 登記護士 vs Registered Nurse 註冊護士

Registered Nurse has higher academic requirements and hence higher salary. In term of duty, both have similar duties, but Registered Nurse can work on their own while Enrolled Nurse needs to work under the supervision of Registered Nurse. Also, Enrolled Nurse does not have a clear promotion ladder (top position = Nursing Officer) while Registered Nurse has more potential and opportunities in promotion (top position = Administrative position).

註冊護士起薪比登記護士高，不過註冊護士要學習的知識較多，修讀時間也較長。如果在醫院內工作，其實兩者的工作內容非常相似，分別在於註冊護士可以獨立工作，單獨處理各醫護程序；而登記護士則必須在註冊護士的監督下才能執行工作，如處理危險藥物、血液檢驗、靜脈輸入等。在晉升方面，登記護士並沒有明確的晉升階梯，最高的職位為護士長，而註冊護士的待遇及晉升空間則更佳，最高可以出任護理經理、總經理等行政職位。

Duties 職責

There are two main categories of nurses: General Practice and Psychiatry. They serve and care for patients with different needs. The following are the main duties of nurses:

Take care of the patient

Patrol wards and monitor the patients in hospitals

巡邏病房及監察留院病人的情況

Injection, cleaning, dressing and preliminary assessment of the patient (e. G. Body temperature, blood pressure, etc.)

為病人打針、清洗、包紮傷口並為病人進行診症前的初步評估（如：量度體溫、血壓等）

Assist doctor with treatment or surgery

協助醫生進行治療或手術

May need to work with a doctor to make a clinical judgment
