Duties 職責

The Occupational therapist is a specialized medical professional who use specially designed activities, devices and environments to help people with autism, hyperactivity, dyslexia, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and mood disorders to return to normal lifestyles. Clients include the elderly, adults and children. The main tasks of an occupational therapist include:

職業治療師是專職醫護人員，主要負責利用一些特別設計的活動、器材及環境幫助患有自閉症、過度活躍症、讀寫障礙、中風、柏金遜症及情緒病等患者回復正常生活方式，服務對象涵蓋長者、成人及兒童。職業治療師的主要工作包括：

• Develop treatment plans, design and conduct training for patients

為患者訂立治療計劃，設計及進行相關訓練

• Assist patients to resume their ability to take care of themselves in general daily life

協助患者恢復一般日常生活的自理能力

• Improve patients’ daily living environment and arrange assistive tools

改善患者日常生活的環境，安排輔助工具

• Examine and evaluate the patient’s condition and understand the need for treatment

檢查及評估患者病情，了解其治療需要

Working hours 工作時間

About 48 hours a week, work in shifts in public hospitals

每星期約48小時，公營醫院的職業治療師需輪班工作

Entry requirements 入職條件

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent

具備職業治療理學士學位，或同等學歷

• Registered as an occupational therapist with a valid practicing certificate by the Occupational Therapists Board of Hong Kong

在香港職業治療師管理委員會註冊為職業治療師及持有效的執業證書
