If students are interested in a particular subject that is not available in Hone Kong, studying on the Mainland or overseas may be a choice.

倘若學生有興趣修讀香港現時未有開辦的課程，到國內或海外升學便是一個不錯的選擇。

Points to note 注意事項

  1. The 4-year curriculum at university is the mainstream in most countries.

4年制大學課程是大部分國家所採用的主流制度，與香港學制相近。


  1. Graduates can consider studying on the Mainland or overseas without having to take extra entrance examinations. Universities usually set specific admission requirements. Once applicants meet the stated requirements, they will be given conditional or unconditional offers.

畢業生可以文憑試成績到內地或海外升學而無須再應考入學試。很多國內或海外大學均訂定了實際的入學要求，只要申請者符合所列的要求，便會獲得有條件或無條件取錄。


  1. Parents and students should consider the following things: articulation, admission requirement, recognition, study period, tuition fee, living condition, scholarship and so on. Studying abroad for a few years can be a big investment. Many young children who are sent to study abroad cannot adapt to their independent life and return to Hong Kong without completing their Secondary Education.

家長及學生應將以下因素納入考慮：課程銜接、入學規定、認受性、修讀年期、學費、生活條件、獎學金等。赴外地進修數年，對於父母及學生來說都是一種不細的投資。不少年幼學子到了國內或外地後，往往因為不能適應完全獨立的生活，未完成中學教育便已回港。

If students are interested in pursuing further studies on Mainland or overseas, they should make early preparation with their families, including doing research, so as to choose the most suitable location, university, and study program, and make applications accordingly.

如果學生有意往國內或外國升學，應與家人儘早籌劃，包括進行資料搜集，以決定最適合的地方、大學和課程，然後才提出申請。
