The saying, "If she can't see it, she can't be it," speaks to the importance of introducing girls to female role models, especially in areas where women's accomplishments were often overlooked or minimized such as in science, mathematics, and technology. 

This Women's History Month - the theme is Celebrating Women Who tell Our Stories. Throughout 2023, the NWHA will encourage recognition of women, past and present, who have been active in all forms of media and storytelling including print, radio, TV, stage, screen, blogs, podcasts, and more. The timely theme honors women in every community who have devoted their lives and talents to producing art, pursuing truth, and reflecting the human condition decade after decade. Women have long been instrumental in passing on our heritage in word and in print to communicate the lessons of those who came before us. Women’s stories, and the larger human story, expand our understanding and strengthen our connections with each other. This month let us lift those stories up who aren't often being told and pursue more ways of sharing those stories with the world!

Hiring season is in full swing and I am so excited by the awesome talent we have screened over the past few weeks. Recruiting and retaining best teachers across the metroplex is a role and responsibility I take very seriously. We will make our first offers this week and I could not be more eager to onboard our new teachers and continue interviewing for our remaining spots! We are hiring for 1st-6th grade and foreign languages. Thank you to all of the families, staff members and community members who helped us put together our Black History Celebration! It was so awesome being able to celebrate with our community and we loved seeing the power of our community come together!

High School signing day is March 20th. We cannot wait to announce where our TraiLblazers will be going for High School. We have so much to celebrate and so much to be proud of!
