PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
What a wonderful first week we had! For those of you new to Solar, we spend our first two weeks of school focused on culture: school culture, classroom culture and understanding our role as we work together as a community.
This focus on culture helps us to build relationships, increase our capacity for empathy and ultimately create a learning environment that is most conducive to learning, growing, taking risks and holding ourselves to high expectations. Our Trailblazers jumped right in and it was heart-warming to watch our girls share their stories, discuss their goals and create space for one another. The unity of purpose is truly what makes this experience so meaningful! As we move into week 2, we look forward to a deeper level of setting our community expectations in each classroom.
After-school club arrangements are underway. Look out for a CLUB SIGN-UP form on Remind this week before the end of the day on Wednesday. If you are a parent looking for a way to share your talents and you have not gotten an opportunity to sign up to lead an after-school club, or share information about an awesome vendor who could bring an engaging experience to our Trailblazers, please fill out this form and let us know. A HUGE thanks to the 18 parents who have already signed up to support this cause! It takes a village - and we could not ask for a more supportive community.
