A message from
Principal Santos...
We had another wonderful week at Solar and are excited about the momentum we already have with our foundation, Friends of Solar Prep and North Texas Giving Day. FOSP is crucial to helping Solar be the magical place it is for our students. Each year both Solar Girls and Solar Boys needs an additional $300-$400K to continue to provide the Solar experience. Every dollar spent is based on principal request, and parents can choose to earmark funds for a specific school.
FOSP has raised over 2.5 million dollars to support our students and teachers. From sending our teachers to world-class conferences to providing library books, field trips and supplies for classrooms, this organization has given us the ability to take our students to the next level.
We hope you will join us for FOSP's Bingo Bash the night before North Texas Giving Day on September 17th! This is a fun way to raise money for FOSP while getting to know other Solar families. We hope to see you at this event! Please click on the flyer below for more information and to RSVP.

♟️ 📣 AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS: All 3rd-8th grade after-school clubs started on Monday, August 25th! Clubs are available to all of our 3rd-8th grade Trailblazers. Club sign-ups have closed at this time. Please remember to pick-up your child on time at 4:20pm when clubs end!

Volunteers Needed!
The Solar Peace Pantry is looking for volunteers with all different skills and schedules, but particularly, we are in need of volunteers who are available on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 (without kids with them) to staff the pantry during our busiest shift!
