This week has flown by and we have some exciting updates to share with you.
Cookie season is quickly approaching and we shared more details below on how to complete your order form if your scholar is interested in selling cookies this year. If you missed our Cookie Rally last week, we've also shared the slides below.
We need your help sorting through our Lost and Found! We have a Voly opportunity created for the rest of this week to help us sort, organize and help us display during carline dismissal to help families claim any lost belongings. We will do this one more time after the Fall Break, before donating any left items to the Solar Pantry.
Our Solar Book Fair 2022 is underway! Visit the new button below to learn more details about what how to create an online wallet for your scholar since it will be a cashless book fair this year.
In the spirit of gratitude and appreciate this month, we would love to hear more from your Solar families. Please take a few minutes to celebrate a staff member through a SHOUT OUT!
See the updated schedule with important ACP testing dates for grades 3-8 in December.
We will also have a Free Dress this Friday as a school fundraiser.
Friendly reminder that there will no school all next week for our Thanksgiving Break will be Monday, November 21- Friday, November 25th.
Our staff holiday celebration is planned for the second week of December, and we are looking for in-kind donations to help send off our staff for the holidays. If you have a service, donation or gift card that you would like to give to our stellar Solar staff, you may drop off anything with the front office or contact Mrs. Banda at jesramirez@dallasisd.org.

PARENT COMMUNITY CORNER
Grade Reps have a great opportunity to support our teachers & serve as a liaison for parents with volunteer needs and sharing grade level information. Grade Reps are still needed for PK, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

SOLAR GIRLS SPORTS
Register now for a discounted rate to play basketball or flag football with other Solar scholars! Registration deadline is November 18.
Once again Solar will play through the YMCA, and here are a few reminders:
This is a discounted registration fee just for Solar families; please don’t share the link.
Click on the link and look for Basketball Youth - Solar and Flag Football Youth - Solar.
Parent volunteers are needed to coach, and each coach/team will determine its practice schedule.
Basketball season is December 3 - January 28 (games on Saturdays) and is for ages 3-14.
