PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

September is in full swing and our trailblazers are soaring! As we begin this fourth week of instruction, all grade levels will be kicking off their first official STEAM Friday. At Solar, we believe in being intentional about providing our students with targeted STEM focus instruction will increase engagement and relevance and they learn how each skill may apply to STEM careers in the real world. 

In elementary school our girls will engage in Coding, Robotics and Girl Scouts. If you are a family new to Solar, you may think of cookies and crafts when you think of Girl Scouts but as you will learn this year, it is so much more. Through Girl Scout Journeys our Trailblazers learn how to make a positive impact on their community by engaging with others, solving problems, and creating new solutions. 

We expect that our girls will do so much more than simply exploring STEM roles, as Trailblazers they will be leading with confidence and purpose and our middle schoolers will focus on leadership development and project based learning.
