COMMUNICATION UPGRADES

One upgrade that will go into effect this week is communication between teachers and parents. Please read the protocol below:

• In order to communicate with teachers, parents/guardians should utilize email or call the front office.

• Remind will only be used to send communication to families from the grade level and will no longer be used to send messages directly to teachers.

• Please include your phone number in the email to teachers so that teachers can call you directly to respond to any concern. This helps save time!

• Always allow up to 48 hours for a response.

• If you have any urgent information or need to speak to someone sooner, please call the front office.

• Our expectation is that teachers do not have their phone out while they are teaching. Responses to parents should only happen during planning or after school!

• In an effort to maximize instructional time, students who are picked up early will not be called down to the office until parents are physically present in the office. (To save time, please change pick-up method for the day in PikmyKid when doing an early pick-up.)

  • Friendly reminders that early dismissal cut-off is 2:30pm and all dismissal changes should be done on the PikmyKid app.

This upgrade will ensure that all communication will be responded to in a consistent, timely manner. Thank you for your continued support and feedback! We appreciate all you do!

ACTUALIZACIONES DE COMUNICACIÓN

• Una actualización que entrará en vigencia esta semana es la comunicación entre maestros y padres. Lea el protocolo a continuación:

• Para comunicarse con los maestros, los padres/tutores deben utilizar el correo electrónico o llamar a la oficina principal.

• Remind solo se usará para enviar comunicaciones a las familias del nivel de grado y ya no se usará para enviar mensajes directamente a los maestros.

• Incluya su número de teléfono en el correo electrónico a los maestros para que los maestros puedan llamarlo directamente para responder a cualquier inquietud. ¡Esto ayuda a ahorrar tiempo!

• Permita siempre hasta 48 horas para una respuesta.

• Si tiene información urgente o necesita hablar con alguien antes, llame a la oficina principal.

• Nuestra expectativa es que los maestros no tengan su teléfono afuera mientras están enseñando. ¡Las respuestas a los padres solo deben ocurrir durante la planificación o después de la escuela!

• En un esfuerzo por maximizar el tiempo de instrucción, los estudiantes que son recogidos temprano no serán llamados a la oficina hasta que los padres estén físicamente presentes en la oficina. (Para ahorrar tiempo, cambie el método de recogida para el día en PikmyKid cuando realice una recogida temprana).

  • Recordatorios amistosos de que el límite de salida temprano es a las 2:30p. m. y todos los cambios de salida deben realizarse en la aplicación PikmyKid.
