A message from Principal Santos ...
Thank you to all who came out to make our Soulful Sunday Event a success! We look forward to continuing our celebration this week with our students! Thank you to all of the families, staff members and community members who helped us put this event together! It was incredible to get celebrate this month and we loved seeing the power of our community when we all come together! This week begins Women's History Month and our March Math Madness. We have so much to learn and look forward to our continued growth.
HAVE AN INCREDIBLE WEEK!
INTENT TO RETURN SURVEY
We need your help planning for next year. Please complete a separate form for each child currently attending Solar. We need 100% of our current families to complete the return survey by MARCH 31st.
STAAR SIMULATIONS:
As we enter the season of testing, you will see that our 3-8th graders will begin taking STAAR simulations. The data collected from these assessments are for teachers to get an understanding of how to shift and modify their instruction. Remind your child that assessments can also serve as celebrations of learning - these are not meant to be evaluative in nature for our students, only for our own instructional practices. We are excited to celebrate one another this month! See calendar below.

At Solar Prep for Girls our uniform policy includes a very specific dress code. We believe that if a student is dressed for success they will feel confident which positively impacts academic performance. Our hope is that our uniform creates a sense of pride for our school and our school community. We appreciate your support in ensuring your student comes to school dressed appropriately and ready to engage in learning.
We will continue providing feedback to students out of dress code to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
