PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Solar Family - 

When I look at this map of all 700+ students at Solar and where they come from, I am reminded that the remarkable diversity of our student body, drawn from every stretch of this city, speaks volumes about the excellence that defines us. This map tells a powerful story about who we are as a community. We are a school where families from various neighborhoods, backgrounds, and walks of life come together under one roof to grow, support each other and learn from one another. It reinforces the idea that our community is not confined by geographical boundaries but united by a common purpose—to provide our students with a nurturing and exceptional educational experience. Together, we have built one of the most extraordinary schools in Dallas; a place where dreams take root and futures are cultivated. I am so proud of the work we have done and look forward to another incredible year of learning and growing alongside one another!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS THIS WEEK:

1. Sisterhood Circle, Shine Time and Advisory Period are all critical components of our day of learning and we want to ensure all students are able to take part. We are giving parents some time to figure out timing with traffic and school zones. Last week and this week students have until 8:20 before they are counted tardy. Beginning next week, August 28, 2023 - students will be counted tardy beginning at 8:01. Please help us ensure that all of our Trailblazers are here on time!
