A message from Principal Santos ...
At Solar, project and performance based learning are critical to our model because we truly believe that giving our Traiblazers an idea of how the concepts they are learning fit into the real world will better prepare them to be both confident and insightful. Working on performance tasks, projects and in collaborative groups create opportunities to construct a story about how all the pieces fit together and connect with an audience through storytelling and empathy. Whether they are engaging in building derby cars, creating zoo habitats, embodying fierce females, building lemonade stands, competing in a debate or academic pentathalon or working on a service project that combines math and art, these experiences are truly valuable. We will continue to showcase performance tasks throughout the end of this year and into next year to give our families a better understanding of this critical piece of our model.
Our Solar Carnival is April 20th from 11-2. We are eager to celebrate with our community! Read below for more information. Be sure to RSVP!

At Solar Prep for Girls our uniform policy includes a very specific dress code. We believe that if a student is dressed for success they will feel confident which positively impacts academic performance. Our hope is that our uniform creates a sense of pride for our school and our school community. We appreciate your support in ensuring your student comes to school dressed appropriately and ready to engage in learning.
We will continue providing feedback to students out of dress code to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
