February marks the start of Black History Month. The 2024 national theme is "African Americans and the Arts" spanning the many impacts Black Americans have had on visual arts, music, cultural movements, and more. The video attached still one of my favorite videos to commemorate Black History Month and the incredible contributions of so many artists. As we enter this month of celebration, we look forward to highlighting so many amazing people in our community and beyond! HAVE AN INCREDIBLE WEEK!
IT'S COOKIE TIME!!
For families that wish to sell Girl Scout Cookies, and have not signed up, or for families who are currently selling and are running low on inventory - there is ONE more opportunity to order cookies!
ORDER DUE: Monday, January 29th.
COOKIE PICK-UP DATE: Friday, February 2nd.
Pick up will be at Solar after school. Sign-up slot times will be emailed to you after we receive your order.
If you have not already completed a permission form you will need to do this first: Permission Form
Don't forget - Orders are Due January 29th! Happy Cookie Selling!
Girl Scout shirts will be available for $15 on cookie pick up day. There is a limited stock, but a pre-order will be available once inventory runs out. Please see the Square site for more information.

Solar Peace Pantry
What is the Solar Peace Pantry?
The Solar Pantry is a parent-run volunteer organization that provides free food, toiletries, and children's books to fellow Solar families. The Pantry has weekly hours when Solar families can pick up food. The Pantry also organizes the Solar Uniform Swap as well as other events throughout the year.
Where is the Pantry located?
The Pantry is located on the northwest side of Solar Boys' campus, behind the cafeteria. Look for the parking lot on Monarch Street.
