A message from Principal Santos ...
Happy Lunar New Year! We had so much fun learning about this holiday and all the different ways that cultures around the world celebrate.
As we enter the second week of Black History Month let us continue the learning! At Solar, we love to push ourselves each year to learn and continue to grow as we empower our teachers and students to be more thoughtful not just about what they learn this month but with the way they lead their lives to empower others each day and how their behaviors and words reflect their values.
We have collected so many valuable resources over the years. Here are a few new ones this year, if you are looking for ways to incorporate teaching and learning about Black History Month at home.
INTENT TO RETURN SURVEY
We need your help planning for next year. Please complete a separate form for each child currently attending Solar. We need 100% of our current families to complete the return survey by April 30th.
HAVE AN INCREDIBLE WEEK!
At Solar Prep for Girls our uniform policy includes a very specific dress code. We believe that if a student is dressed for success they will feel confident which positively impacts academic performance. Our hope is that our uniform creates a sense of pride for our school and our school community. We appreciate your support in ensuring your student comes to school dressed appropriately and ready to engage in learning.
We will continue providing feedback to students out of dress code to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
