A message from Principal  Santos...

As we move into the last week of 2023 I want to share my thoughts as we close out the year. As I walked through the hallways this week, I could not help but feel an enormous amount of gratitude for each and every member of our Solar community. The results we have seen are a testament to the hard work and passion that our students bring to each new challenge and the love, support and collaboration that we bring when we truly work together as a cohesive community. It truly takes a village, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have the most incredible tribe in Dallas.  Academically, our girls have demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance, achieving milestones that reflect not only their intellectual prowess but also their curiosity and love for learning.

One of the aspects I cherish most about leading this incredible organization is seeing our girls flourish beyond the curriculum. Their empathy and self-awareness strengthened, the leadership skills honed, and the combination of humility and grit that has blossomed in each student is a testament to the supportive community we have cultivated here. I am confident that these experiences will serve them well in the years to come, empowering them to face life's challenges with resilience and grace.

As we look forward to the second half of the academic year, let us continue to collaborate and foster an environment where our Trailblazers can thrive. Together, we can ensure that every Trailblazer reaches their fullest potential and emerges as a confident and compassionate leader.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each member of our Solar Family for entrusting us with the education and development of our Trailblazers. Your partnership is invaluable, and I am excited about the continued growth and success we will achieve together.

HAVE AN INCREDIBLE WEEK!

HELP US MAKE THIS A DECEMBER TO REMEMBER FOR OUR SUPERSTAR STAFF

Our staff holiday dinner is planned for the third week of December, and we are looking for in-kind donations for door prizes and gifts to help show our gratitude for the amazing members of our staff.

If you have a service, donation or gift card that you would like to donate to our stellar Solar staff, you may drop off anything with the front office or contact Mrs. Oden at eoden@dallasisd.org. Thank you in advance for helping bring cheer to our staff this holiday season.

Most of us get an hour for lunch each day. Teachers normally have 30 minutes to run copies, catch a restroom break and eat their lunch. Help us give them a treat this week and sign up to spend 30 minutes of fun with a class to allow teachers a FULL HOUR for lunch!  1-HOUR LUNCH SIGN UP!

Don't have time to give? Help us celebrate teachers during our annual 12 Days Before the Holidays Celebration - each grade level has its own sign up. Thank you for your help!
