I hope you had a restful weekend Solar families! We have a lot in store for the final 13 days before our Winter Break. We kick off our annual Book Fair this week and Mrs. Rodriguez has been eagerly awaiting to give her grand reveal of all the amazing items available for our scholars and families to purchase this year. However, it will be a cashless event this year and families must create an e-wallet in order for their scholar to purchase. Find out more details here to create your e-wallet today! See the flier below for evening times available for you to join your scholar. Classes will sign-up to take their girls too.
Are you interested in giving our Solar staff the Gift of Time? Sign up here! This will allow our staff enjoy a whole hour of lunch!

Lost & Found
We have a lot of coats, sweaters, water bottles and lunch bags that need to find their owner! Please visit our sorted Lost & Found carts before all items are donated on 12/9.
Our staff holiday celebration is planned for the second week of December, and we are looking for in-kind donations for door prizes and gifts to help show our gratitude for the amazing members of our staff.
If you have a service, donation or gift card that you would like to donate to our stellar Solar staff, you may drop off anything with the front office or contact Mrs. Banda at jesramirez@dallasisd.org. Thank you in advance for helping bring cheer to our staff this holiday season.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2022
Bus will be leaving from our campus at 9am. The event will begin and end in Downtown Dallas at the corner of Marilla St. and S. Akard St. (Dallas City Hall Plaza). Runners will have access to many surface parking lots during race weekend that are within walking distance to the Health & Fitness Expo, start & finish line and post-race party area. One parent must accompany their student on the bus, no exceptions. If you plan to take your own vehicle there will be parking available. However, we strongly recommend taking DART to avoid parking delays. Please dress appropriately for the weather. There will be hot beverages, food, music, and fun activities available for everyone who attends.
There will be two separate events for our students to participate in:
Kids 100M Dash (10:00am) Kids ages 6 and under
Oncor Kid’s Race – 1 & 2-Mile Events (11:00am)
Our bus will be leaving from downtown at 1pm and arriving back at Solar by 1:30pm.
