If you haven't gotten the chance to vote, today is your day! Dallas county has open polling locations so you can vote at any of them as long as you are registered. Solar Girls does not appear on all the lists, but we are set up and ready in the cafeteria.

This Thursday is our SBDM meeting. Join us to hear about what we have accomplish this year and what is on the list of priorities to accomplish.

During the month of November, we practice an attitude of gratitude. Some studies suggest that those who practice gratitude daily report a higher level of overall happiness and better sleep. Our brains are naturally wired to look for what might go wrong, but what about focusing on what might go right? Looking for the positive doesn't just happen. It is a skill that we can all get better at with intentional practice and focused self-awareness. People who are most optimistic and can find the positive are those who tap into daily gratitude practices. So why not start now in the month most known for gratitude? After dinner, before bed or even in the car on the way to an errand - spend time sharing what you are most grateful for about your day. Chances are, the answers will surprise you! Most of the time, we are grateful for some of the smallest gestures and moments that make us feel more connected.
