Summary
Thomas, the main character, has been in solitary confinement for several weeks. He and his crew are then told that they have a chip implanted into their head for "testing". WICKED, the evil organization who built the maze, tries to brainwash the group of maze-survivors, but some resisted. The ones who resisted stole an aircraft and flew to Denver, one of the only cities that is not infected by the Flare (deadly disease). In Denver, people started to get the deadly disease, and people were disappearing. One of Thomas' best friends (Newt) obtained the disease. The group then joins an organization to end WICKED and its brutal experiments. This brought the organization to WICKED's base, where a lot of fighting goes down. The group is successful in their actions, but the origin of the plot still has a hole in it. I give this book a 5 star-rating because it follows the story lines of the previous two Maze Runner books. It is a very interesting, exciting, and adventurous book, which is why I highly recommend this book for kids 12 and up.
