In the second book of the series, Alex and Conner Bailey have been back in the real world since their last adventure into the Land of Stories. They come home from school to find out that their mom has been kidnapped by the evil enchantress. They then have to find their way back to the magic storybook and try and save their mother and defeat the enchantress. The only way to defeat the Enchantress is with the "Wand of Wonderment". This wand is made up of the most hated villains in the land of stories most prized possessions. The wand is made up of the following: The Ice Queen's scepter, the Wicked Stepmother's ring, The Sea Witch's Jewels, The Giant's singing golden harp, and Ezmia's pride. When you accumulate all of these things and put them together, they have the power to defeat anyone! I rated this book a 4/5 stars because it is super entertaining and makes you never want to put the book down. It is comical, an adventure, and never fails to disappoint you while reading. The only reason its not a 5/5 is because I like the 4th book of the series the best, and that is completely perfect. This one is just below perfect but is still an incredible book for anyone with a 5th grade through high school reading level.
