Ben McBain is an 11 year-old talented athlete who is great at mostly every position on the football field. The thing is that he missed the height demand and just makes the weight requirement. He wants to be the quarterback of his team but the head coach was a college star and a backup in the NFL and wants his son Shawn to play that position. Shawn looks like a QB but does't want to play the position and struggles in it. When Shawn wasn't fulfilling his duty on the football field coach gives Ben the chance he wanted all season. I give this book 4/5 for its great football story line but I thought it lacked details in the story. Overall it was interesting and fun to read. I recommend this book to a 6th or 7th grader.
