Announcements

1. Chancel Choir: Anyone interested in joining the choir as they look to the future may contact Suzie Taylor at staylor200@yahoo.com. 

2. UWF Discount Cards: new discount cards are available in the church office or see Bonnie on Sunday morning. Cards are still only $10 & will be good thru the end of 2027.

3. PHOTOS REQUESTED: We want to see YOU in the Directory & in the database.  If you have not had your picture taken at the recent photo shoots here at the church, you can still be included.  Simply EMAIL a photo of yourself and each family member (that clearly shows FACES) to accounting@culpeperumc.org.  JPEG format, not a huge file if possible.  Just email the photo(s) of your choice, and we'll see if it works.  Identify each person in the photo(s) please.  We really want a picture of what you look like now. 

4. Pastor Josh’s class Law & Gospel:  If Scripture sometimes feels like it’s giving you a stern look and other times a free donut, this 4-week Pastor Class on Law & Gospel is for you. We’ll explore how God’s Law tells the hard truth, how the Gospel tells the good truth, and how both keep us from turning faith into either a guilt trip or a pep rally. Come laugh, learn, and leave feeling lighter. Sundays through October 4th in the Library.

5. Food Closet: Any & all non-perishable food items would be most appreciated as well as personal hygiene products. This week the focus is: chunky soup, canned pasta, toothpaste, canned chicken, canned pineapple, rice (1pound bags). Let’s continue to be the hands & feet of Jesus in our community. 

6. Power Pack: the school year has begun and CUMC has been asked to donate Ramen noodle packets again this year. If you can add that to your weekly shopping list, it would be greatly appreciated.

7. Betty Newhouse Circle Fall Flea Market: will be held on Saturday October 3rd from 9am -1pm. Contact Ann to reserve a space, 540-547-2627. 

8. Youth Hand Chimes: Sunday October 4th and October 11th at 3:15pm in the Music Suite.

9. IGNITE Youth Group: Sunday October 4th & October 18th at 4:45pm in the Fellowship Hall. 

10. Children’s Choir begins Wednesday October 7th: Pk-1st grade at 4:00-4:30 pm, 2nd-5th grade at 4:30pm - 5:15pm, youth at 5:15-6:00pm in the Music Suite.

11. HUB Packing Monday October 12th at 9am in the Pavillon, weather permitting; Fellowship Hall if there weather prohibitive. 

12. UWF General Meeting: Wednesday October 14th at 11am in the Fellowship Hall

13. Prayer Shawl Meeting: Tuesday October 20th at 10am in the Ladies Parlor.

14. Worship Committee Meeting: Wednesday October 21st at 6pm in Room 203.
