IGNITE Youth Gathering: Sunday August 30th 4:45pm in the Fellowship Hall
Youth Hand Chimes: canceled for today Sunday August 23rd . First rehearsal will be Sunday August 30th at 3:15pm-4:45pm in the Music Suite.
Church Fellowship Lunch: TODAY Sunday August 23rd come to the Fellowship Hall after the 11am service for a time of fellowship. The church will provide the hotdogs & drinks. We ask the congregation to bring salads, sides & desserts to share.
Sunday School Water Day: TODAY Sunday August 23rd Help us wrap up Playground Summer Sunday School on August 23rd as we share water games and fun. Consider a towel or change of clothes, especially if you plan to worship at 11.
Ministry Fair Sunday August 30th: there will not be Youth or Children's Sunday School, please stop by the tables in the Fellowship Hall in between worship services to get more info on the different small groups, mission/ministry opportunities, and Sunday school opportunities that are available.
Family Sundae Sunday: Sunday September 6th from 10:15am-10:50am at the pavilion for fellowship, sundaes, and fun before we begin a new Sunday School year.
Pastor Josh’s class Law & Gospel: If Scripture sometimes feels like it’s giving you a stern look and other times a free donut, this 4-week Pastor Class on Law & Gospel is for you. We’ll explore how God’s Law tells the hard truth, how the Gospel tells the good truth, and how both keep us from turning faith into either a guilt trip or a pep rally. Come laugh, learn, and leave feeling lighter. Starts September 13th in the Library.
Choir Interest Meeting: Sunday September 13th after the 11am service in the Community Room.
Power Pack: the school year has begun and CUMC has been asked to donate Ramen noodle packets again this year. If you are able to add that to your weekly shopping list, it would be greatly appreciated.
Food Closet: Any & all non-perishable food items would be most appreciated as well as personal hygiene products. This week the focus is: canned chicken, boxed cereal,
Rice (1-pound bags), black beans (1-pound bags), 15 oz. cans of pineapple, toothpaste, fruit cups. Let’s continue to be the hands & feet of Jesus in our community.
