Pastor Josh’s class Law & Gospel: If Scripture sometimes feels like it’s giving you a stern look and other times a free donut, this 4-week Pastor Class on Law & Gospel is for you. We’ll explore how God’s Law tells the hard truth, how the Gospel tells the good truth, and how both keep us from turning faith into either a guilt trip or a pep rally. Come laugh, learn, and leave feeling lighter. Sundays through October October 4th in the Library.

Power Pack: the school year has begun and CUMC has been asked to donate Ramen noodle packets again this year. If you can add that to your weekly shopping list, it would be greatly appreciated.
Food Closet: Any & all non-perishable food items would be most appreciated as well as personal hygiene products. This week the focus is: canned chicken, boxed cereal,
Rice (1-pound bags), black beans (1-pound bags), 15 oz. cans of pineapple, toothpaste, fruit cups. Let’s continue to be the hands & feet of Jesus in our community.
Betty Newhouse Circle Fall Flea Market: will be held on Saturday October 3rd from 9am -1pm. Contact Ann to reserve a space, 540-547-2627.
Youth Hand Chimes: Sunday October 4th at 3:15pm in the Music Suite.
IGNITE Youth Group: Sunday October 4th at 4:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Children’s Choir begins Wednesday October 7th: Pk-1st grade at 4pm, 2nd-5th grade at 4:30pm, youth at 5:15pm in the Music Suite.
HUB Packing Monday October 12th at 9am in the Fellowship Hall & Pavillon.
UWF General Meeting: Wednesday October 14th at 11am in the Fellowship Hall
Worship Committee Meeting: Wednesday October 14th at 6pm in Room 203.

Flowers on the Altar are given to the Glory of God in memory Don Meek who would have turned 85 on September 24th. Given by his wife, Louse and son, Gary.
