Announcements

1. 2025 Giving Statements will soon be on their way to you!  You still have time to provide an email address to receive your statement at no cost to the church!  To receive your Giving Statement by email, simply send your name(s) from your email address of choice to accounting@culpeperumc.org.  Fast and accurate - Goodbye snail mail!  

2. Bucket Sisters, Second Mile Giving: With your generous donations we were able to assist a total of 10 families in need with CFC funds. There were 8 families that were helped to prevent disconnect or to restore service for their electric/water. The amount used to prevent/restore was $1,382.75. We also assisted 2 families with rent that totaled $1000. Total dollar amount of CFC funds used in December 2025 was $2382.75.

3. Confirmation begins February 1st: registration for confirmation is open on the church’s website. Confirmation is for students in 6th grade & up. Have questions? Please contact Cheyenne or Pastor Josh.

4. Youth Hand Chimes: Sunday January 18th at 3:15pm-4:45pm in the Community Room.

5. Ignite Youth: Sunday January 18th at 4:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.

6. Prayer Shawl Meeting: Tuesday January 20th at 10am in the Ladies Parlor.

7. Family & Friends Skating at Culpeper Skate Center: Saturday January 24th from 11:30am-1:30pm. RSVP to Cheyenne.

8. Food Closet: with the state of the economy & the recent government shutdown, many in our community have needed to visit the Food Closet as never before. There is a plastic bin in the Narthex where you can drop off donations. The need this week is personal care items: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant. Let’s continue to be the hands & feet of Jesus in our community.

9. CUMC Wood Ministry: We are still looking for volunteers with access to a pick-up truck to make local firewood deliveries through March. Please call Bill Blaine at 540- 729-9438 or contact Abbie Jewett at woodministry@culpeperumc.org for more info.
