Announcements

1. Bucket Sisters, Second Mile Giving: With your generous donations we were able to assist a total of 16 families in need for the month of April 2026. There were 11 families that were helped to prevent disconnect of their utilities, at a total of $2,140.62. Five families have been assisted with preventing an eviction, at a total of $2,499.46. With utility bills increasing as the warmer season progresses- funds are being depleted quickly as we receive multiple utility disconnects & rental assistance applications. Currently our Culpeper First Call for help account balance is only $40.00. Culpeper Human Services can't express enough how much we thank you for your consistent support.

2. Church Supper & Mission Conversation Wednesday May 27th  at 6pm Fellowship Hall: Join us for a fellowship supper as we share a meal and listen for where God is leading our church in this season. Over dinner, we’ll hear a brief introduction to Seven Practices for the Church on Mission—simple, faithful ways of being present with Christ, one another, and our community. Come hungry, curious, and ready to discern together how God is shaping us for faithful witness today.

3. Ignite Youth: Today Sunday May 17th at 4:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.

4. VBS Registration is open! Visit https://bit.ly/RainforstFallsVBS to register to participate or volunteer.

5. Next Gen Worship Club (Grades 4-12): Begins Today May 17, through June 28 during the 11:00 Service, an optional, interest-based group for students who enjoy contemporary worship music. Students will be dismissed at the same time as Kids Connect, and will meet separately to listen, learn, and explore worship songs. 

6. FLAMES Care Team Meeting Monday May 18th at 6pm in the Library

7. Prayer Shawl Meeting: Tuesday May 19th at 10am in the Ladies Parlor

8. Summer Sunday School begins May 31st: Youth will continue to meet in room 215. Children ages 3 & potty trained - rising 5th graders will meet outside for playground Sunday School from 10:15 - 10:50. 

9. Sunday Summer Camp: Children are invited to join us for Sunday Summer Camp on June 14 and July 26 from 10:15 - 12:00. Registration is required. For more information and to register, please visit https://bit.ly/CUMCCamp

10. Food Closet: with the state of the economy, many in our community have needed to visit the Food Closet as never before. There is a plastic bin in the Narthex where you can drop off donations. Any & all non-perishable food items would be most appreciated as well personal hygiene products Let’s continue to be the hands & feet of Jesus in our community. 

11. Youth Ministry: Join us for our Summer Late-In on June 5th from 4-8 PM. We’ll share a fire, games, devotion, and more.
