Announcements

1. Bucket Sisters, Second Mile Giving: Your generous donations through the Bucket Sisters Offering are used to assist families in need in Culpeper.  With your generous donations and in conjunction with Culpeper First Call (Culpeper Human Services), during the month of October 2025 we were able to assist 11 families in need with the CFC funds; 9 families were helped to prevent disconnect or restore their electricity/water. There was one family we assisted with water only expenses. And one family was assisted with fuel/heating expenses. The amount used to prevent/restore in October was $1,921.84. The current balance in the CFC fund account at this time is $24.04.

2. CUMC Wood Ministry: is looking for volunteers with access to a pick-up truck to make local firewood deliveries starting November 15 through March. Please call Bill Blaine at 540- 729-9438 or contact Abbie Jewett at woodministry@culpeperumc.org for more info.

3. Youth Chimes Choir Practice: Sunday, November 9th at 3:15pm in the Music Room.

4. IGNITE Youth Group: Sunday, November 9th at 4:45pm in the Community Room.

5. Youth Joint Friendsgiving Celebration: Sunday November 23rd at 4:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.

6. IGNITE Youth Serve at Manna: Wednesday November 26th at 9:30am at Culpeper Presbyterian Church.

7. Help the Food Closet: from now until November 26th, they are working with the Culpeper Safeway in the “Round-up” program to help give those in need food for their Thanksgiving meal. At checkout you can roundup to the next whole dollar. That “donation” will be earmarked for the Food Closet. Let us help the Food Closet help our community.

8. Empowering Culpeper Coat Drive: A huge thank you to everyone who donated. We collected over 163 coats for those in need in our community.

9. Thanksgiving Brunch Potluck: Sunday November 23 everyone is encouraged to fellowship together over brunch between worship services in the Fellowship Hall. Last names ending in A-M bring a main dish, casserole, or bread; last names ending in N-Z bring a side dish, fruit or dessert.

10. Hanging of the Greens: Sunday November 23rd after the 11am service come be a part of decorating CUMC for Christmas.
