Announcements

1. CUMC Manna Team: Our Manna Team will be serving guests on Wednesday November 26th and they still need cooked & sliced turkeys. Contact Sharon Butler at sharonbutlerculpeper@comcast.net for more info. So far, they only have 5 turkeys & they need 15-20.

2. CUMC Wood Ministry: is looking for volunteers with access to a pick-up truck to make local firewood deliveries starting November 15 through March. Please call Bill Blaine at 540- 729-9438 or contact Abbie Jewett at woodministry@culpeperumc.org for more info.

3. Youth Chimes Choir Practice: Sunday, November 2nd and November 9th  at 3:15pm in the Music Room.

4. IGNITE Youth Group: Sunday, November 9th at 4:45pm in the Community Room.

5. Youth Joint Friendsgiving Celebration: Sunday November 23rd at 4:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.

6. IGNITE Youth Serve at Manna: Wednesday November 26th at 9:30am at Culpeper Presbyterian Church.

7. The Chosen Season 3: join us Thursday evenings beginning October 30th at 6:30pm in the Community Room. We watch an episode together followed by discussion. To watch the 1st two seasons, go to watch.thechosen.tv, it’s FREE!

8. Help the Food Closet: from now until November 26th, they are working with the Culpeper Safeway in the “Round-up” program to help give those in need food for their Thanksgiving meal. At checkout you can roundup to the next whole dollar. That “donation” will be earmarked for the Food Closet. Let us help the Food Closet help our community.

9. Empowering Culpeper Coat Drive: Let’s help keep our community warm this winter. They are collecting slightly used or new coats for adults & children. They will be available at the November food distribution. Please bring to the church office by November 12th.

10. CUMC FLAMES Casseroles Bake-off: Wednesday November 12th 10am -1pm in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Doreen Vargo at domama@comcast.net for details 

11. Children’s Choir Camp: Saturday November 15th in the Sanctuary 2nd -5th grade & youth will meet 9am-11:30am. PreK-1st grade 10:30am-11:30am.

12. Child and Youth Bible Distribution: November 16. All children and youth are invited to receive a new Bible. Please register at culpeperumc.org/bible-distribution 

13. Thanksgiving Brunch Potluck: Sunday November 23 everyone is encouraged to fellowship together over brunch between worship services. Last names ending in A-M bring a main dish, casserole, or bread; last names ending in N-Z bring a side dish, fruit or dessert.

14. Hanging of the Greens: Sunday November 23rd after the 11am service come be a part of decorating CUMC for Christmas.
