Announcements

• Roof repairs begin tomorrow June 29 - July 1: Please utilize caution/personal safety. Please do not enter the church building from the lower parking lot during the specified dates. There shouldn't be any roof activity on the front side of the church during this time. However, it would be good to look up before entering the building. 

• Church Office will be closed on Friday July 3rd for the Independence Day observance.

• Women’s VBS: begins tomorrow Monday June 29th & continues Tuesday June 30th at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. If you still want to join, Contact Susan Vroman today sign up 540-718-1383. Childcare is available with advanced notice. 

• Church Softball: come out and support CUMC Wednesday June 30th at 6pm at Lenn Park. 

• Church Office will be closed on Friday July 3rd for the 4th of July observance.

• Church Art Show: Feel free to visit the library to see all the art work on display by our children, youth, and adults. Artwork will be displayed in the church library June 28–July 5. Artwork may be picked up after church on July 5.

• Photo Opportunity for Church Directory: July 8th from 5pm-6pm in the Community Room. If you did not have your photo taken previously, here’s another opportunity. 

• Christmas Prep Meeting Wednesday July 8th at 6:30pm in Room 203: let’s talk about planning for the 2026 CUMC Christmas Light Display. All those interested in helping, volunteering, etc. are encouraged to attend.

• Family Movie Night Friday July 10th :will begin with lawn games at 6:30pm, movie begins at 7:30pm. Popcorn & drinks will be provided. Please bring school supplies for donaton.

• Next Gen Worship Club (Grades 4-12): through June 28 during the 11:00 Service, an optional, interest-based group for students who enjoy contemporary worship music. Students will be dismissed at the same time as Kids Connect, and will meet separately to listen, learn, and explore worship songs. 

• Summer Sunday School: Youth will continue to meet in room 215. Children ages 3 & potty trained - rising 5th graders will meet outside for playground Sunday School from 10:15 - 10:50. 

• Sunday Summer Camp: Children are invited to join us for Sunday Summer Camp on July 26 from 10:15 - 12:00. Registration is required. For more information and to register, please visit https://bit.ly/CUMCCamp

• Food Closet: with the state of the economy, many in our community have needed to visit the Food Closet as never before. There is a plastic bin in the Narthex where you can drop off donations. Any & all non-perishable food items would be most appreciated as well as personal hygiene products. This week the focus is: pasta, pasta sauce, Hamburger Helper, dried beans, Chilli, beef stew, and canned vegetables. Let’s continue to be the hands & feet of Jesus in our community.
