Always talk safety to each other - safety culture is not something you define, it’s just something everyone does because it is second nature. When you are in a room, always look around for your exits and make a mental plan of what you would do if you had to help people evacuate. Your personal safety comes first.

Briefing
Evacuation Briefing
Our building has a 'back to base' alarm system. If you hear the alarm, there's no discussion - we are evacuating the building.
In A1
If you're in A1 when the evacuation alarm sounds, you can assist us by helping direct people out of the building while you are going yourself.
First Impressions or Facility will open up the curtains to help people to get out.
You can exit through the foyer, or either side of the Main Auditorium - you can open the fire doors yourself by pushing down on the bar and opening up wide. We want all doors opened if we need to evacuate the building.
You can help by clearing pathways to allow people easy exit access and holding open exit doors if needed and it is safe to do so.
Other areas
Wherever else you are, proceed to the nearest exit point and out to the Assembly area.
The escape routes from the main building are those shown on the evacuation plans on walls around our building. All exit doors push outwards.
Rivers Cafe - exterior exit door (not foyer)
RFR - via Rivers Cafe to exterior exit door
Mez Level - exterior fire doors
A2, Qantas Lounge, The Lounge and Foyer - foyer main doors
Downstairs Offices - front door and Film Hallway door
Upstairs Offices - doors to foyer or ramp through bulkheads
Lockdown Briefing
If we have to lockdown the building, you will be told 'we are going into lockdown'.
Help get anyone you can find to come inside the nearest room, or find a room to lock yourself in.
Lock the doors and close and lock any windows.
Get on the floor under something, like a desk, if you can.
Keep your phone on silent and remain silent yourself.
Wait until you are given the all clear before coming out.
