A lockdown may be required outside of office hours and may include Sunday services, events or any weekday after hours gatherings. If the Lockdown is called during a Sunday service, or event, the Service Coordinator will liaise with the Executive and following planning similar to a non-alarm evacuation plan much like the power outage scenario.
If the CFW or member of the EPC is not present, a Deputy Fire Warden, Communications Officer or other responsible person will activate the following procedures.

Identify that the threat is real, and a lockdown must take place.
Contact or instruct another person to contact 000 immediately
Activate communication lockdown procedures as above.

All Service Staff Wardens are instructed where the threat is located and to ensure that people directly external to their position are safely moved inside the building and doors adequately locked.
Announcements
In the event a lockdown is required, the “Lead” position on platform will be authorised by the Chief Warden or responsible person to interrupt the event proceedings and communicate the following message. This message is found in every main service and event template.
Announcement: “Ladies and Gentlemen we have a situation that requires us to secure everyone inside the building. All the children have already been safely secured. Please move away from the exits and position yourself on the floor in between the seats. If you require assistance, please remain seated, our attendants will assist you very shortly.”
