Office Weekday Lockdown
In the event of a Lockdown occurring, staff will be SMS'd through the Elvanto Database instructions to shelter in place. Staff should gather any visitors, volunteers, contractors, students or interns near them to assist them in staying safe.
During the lockdown, staff who are indoors should lock all doors and windows and remain in offices. No one will be permitted to leave the campus. Entries may be barricaded by the civil authorities if necessary. The civil authorities (police, fire, ambulance) will provide assistance as needed.
Citipointe Church calls the lockdown
If Citipointe Church believes they must go into Lockdown, either one of the EPC or the receptionist under instruction from the the EPC will do the following:
Call 000
Proceed with an in-house lockdown.
SMS Staff and Citipointe Entities - via Elvanto People View “Citipointe Emergency”.
Message the rest of the property by Campus Group App (iMessage - Property EPC).
Another campus organisation calls lockdown:
Citipointe will be notified by the Campus Group App (iMessage - Property EPC) or phone call to reception.
Proceed with our in-house lockdown.
SMS Staff and Citipointe Entities - via Elvanto People View “Citipointe Emergency”.
If the threat is not imminent, the receptionist will take their phone and lockdown instructions and if possible escape to the upstairs offices.
If the threat is imminent, the receptionist will take their phone and lockdown instructions into the cupboard and lock themselves in with the key hanging beside the door.
A laminated page identifying key contacts on the property can be found on the inside of the cupboard. The receptionist will then calmly call each organisation to let them know the situation at the church.

If the receptionist is unable to make these calls / messages, one of the responsible persons trained in communicating an emergency will take control.
Call or text someone on the EPC to let them know what has taken place so far.
Lockdown script for phone call
This is <Name> from Citipointe Church. We have a lockdown situation in the <State Area>." (Give a brief description of situation and what to communicate to other organisations on campus). Spotted single male in blue overall/coat/shirt with handheld weapon – a machete, walking through the campus towards the International College. Please activate lockdown procedures.
Contact police / emergency services (000) immediately if not already done so. Inform them of both Wecker Rd and Scrub Rd entrances.
SMS the Property EPC intention to lockdown
Contact Reception to continue the lockdown process.
Liaise with police/emergency as appropriate
Communicate with EPC updates to advise staff and property (if we called the lockdown).
Lockdown script for Citipointe Campus Group Text
This is the Church. We have a lockdown situation. A man has been spotted with a weapon outside the International College. Please activate lockdown procedures.
Will act as Chief Fire Warden in the event of his absence.
If acting as the responsible person, will Elvanto SMS the Brisbane staff advising of Lockdown situation. All Brisbane Staff and Low Cost Housing people can be found in the Elvanto Database in the People View “Citipointe Emergency”. This People View is not locked down so anyone with SMS access can contact all staff this way in an emergency.
To locate this PV, open Elvanto, open the People Tab, type in the word "Emergency" and choose the dropdown called "Citipointe Emergency". Click on the green "Contact People" button at the top. Click SMS Only. Copy the lock down script on the side or write your own depending on the situation. Put it in the Message box and hit send. Responses will come to the logged in email address.

THIS IS A DRILL.
Citipointe Staff we are in Lockdown. Secure yourself where you are. The threat is xx. Please help others nearby to get inside to safety. Put your phones on silent and do not make any calls. Stay where you are until you receive the “All Clear”.

Citipointe Staff the threat from our Lockdown has been resolved. This is the “All Clear”. You are safe now to come out and move around the building.
On receiving notification of Lockdown:
Gather any visitors, volunteers, contractors, students or interns near them to assist in staying safe
Check hallways and areas within your zone to ensure people are sheltered-in-place, if it is safe to do so.
Staff who are indoors should lock all doors and windows and remain in offices.
Ensure that people directly external to their position are safely moved inside the building and doors adequately locked.
Maintain a calm atmosphere, keeping alert to others around you.
Place your phone on silent, but monitor it for communication
When all clear is given (via text message), work with staff nearby to exit offices or rooms
Team Hub (If it is safe to do so)
Team Hub is used by many different types of people who may or may not have a staff member or intern with them to receive the message that we are going into Lockdown. In this case, the Cafe staff or other staff or interns in the cafe will manage this room.
If you are a staff member or intern in Team Hub or the cafe and you receive the lock down message, please send someone to check the Lounge and Foyer and Com Care office for any persons who need to get under cover and bring them in. Also wait for cafe staff to bring any persons in from outside and inside the cafe, then close and lock the doors. Do not open the doors again unless you have the all clear or it is emergency services. Tell anyone who knocks after you have locked the doors to hide somewhere quickly.
On receiving notification of Lockdown via SMS. NO SIREN OR VOICE OVER WILL SOUND.
Facility staff will endeavor to lock all doors and windows into buildings where they are IF IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.
Lock themselves and other personnel into offices or secure rooms.
Lock doors, close all windows, and close blinds/curtains.
Lie down flat on the floor, preferably at least one metre away from windows or in concealed/shielded locations if possible.
Maintain a calm atmosphere, keeping alert to others around them.
If outside, and too far away from any buildings, instruct all to lie down flat where they are.
Place phones on silent. Do not make any phone calls.
Any staff who are outside of the offices, eg the foyer or grounds, should locate the nearest place to lock themselves in and encourage anyone else nearby to do the same. Stay locked down until you have been given the all clear via SMS.
Exit offices/rooms or locked down area only when all clear is given.
Staff who have volunteers or interns in the office are responsible to place them in lockdown. If a volunteer or intern has left the building, the supervising staff member should message them (not call) to stay away if off the property and lockdown where they are if still on the property.
Staff who receive the text and are not on the property should not return.
Managers of these in house entities should immediately contact whoever is rostered on to these programs to advise them of a lockdown. Each building has its own lockdown procedures.

In the event of a lockdown during the week day, grounds staff should assist wherever they are. If they are with children, other staff or members of the public, they should assist getting people into a classroom or office and assisting in the lockdown. They should then send the Property Manager a text to let him know where they are and what their situation is.
