The Deputy Wardens’ roles are to assist the Chief Fire Warden and manage the Assembly area. They take their instructions from the Chief Fire Wardens. 

Key roles include:

• Taking on the role of Chief Fire Warden if they are not present 

• Call 000 regardless of the alarm

• Checking their phone regularly to ensure they have access to the Evacuation Checklist. Reach out to HR if you do not have this on your phone 

• Checking person’s names off the Evacuation Checklist at the Assembly area

• Operating the workplace emergency systems in the event the Chief Warden is absent
