Process

On “Evacuation Tone” or other indication that an evacuation is taking place:

• For weekday in the event of a fire, Grounds staff are to move to the Grounds shed. If they come across a fire on the way, they should assist with the evacuation, sending the Property Manager a text to let him know where they are and what their situation is. They should stay by their phone in case they are needed elsewhere by the Property Manager. 

• They will arrive at the Grounds Shed and take all fire extinguishers to the fire if it appears to be containable. 

• If the fire is in the Grounds Shed, they will attempt to extinguish the fire if it is at all possible, and if not they will raise the alarm by calling 000 then the Property Manager while evacuating all others from the building.
