My name is Andrea Geron and I'm so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This will be my 8th year teaching and my 3rd year at Lykins. I graduated from Texas A&M University, GIG'EM AGGIES! My husband Taylor and I have lived in Celina for 5 years with our sweet baby girl Lily, newborn baby girl Piper, and pup Hank.
I look forward to working together to ensure your child has a fantastic 4th grade year! GO BOBCATS!
Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 11th.
What to do before Meet The Teacher:
Please label the following items with your child's name: scissors, school supply box, composition books, headphones, folders.
This year our class will be using the ClassDojo App. This will be another way for me to communicate with parents, in addition to emails and our weekly Newsletter. Please download the ClassDojo app before August 13th.
Please check your child's Daily Folder each day. This will be where behavior notes, event flyers, and other information will be sent home. Your child needs to bring their Daily Folder to school every day.

Other Important Information
Snacks: Students may bring a snack each day. The snack should not require a spoon or be in liquid form, and easy to eat. Examples of suggested snacks are Cheezits, goldfish, granola bars, and pretzels. No candy/sugar please. Students may eat during morning meeting/WIN or save for dismissal time. Water bottles should contain only water. Please no stanleys, as they can get spilled very easily!
Birthdays: You may drop off store bought treats in the office. We will celebrate at the end of the day. Please check with me on class size as it changes throughout the year.
Homework: Regular homework is not sent home. Things you can do at home to help support your child are reading each night, practicing math facts using flashcards or online apps, or CISD approved websites.
Breakfast and Lunch: Served daily at 7:20 and 12:30. You will need to add funds to student ‘School Cafe’ account. Please note that students may also purchase snacks and ice cream, as you may want to discuss appropriate charging limits. Parents must sign up on the Lykins Links SignUpGenius prior to eating with their student at school (due to limited seating). If you are interested in volunteering for lunch duty, please reach out with dates available at any point during the school year!
Create a School Cafe account. As our dining services have expanded, so has our system to better serve our Bobcats. Additionally, families who qualify for free or reduced meal programs, may indicate that need by filling out the confidential forms.
I want to celebrate your child on their special day! To do this please contact me if your child has a birthday you would like to celebrate by sending a sweet treat to school. This will allow me to check for any allergies in the classroom beforehand. Please send one treat per student and drop them off at the front office. There are 16 students in our class.
Join our class Class Dojo Group (coming soon).
