Female International Footballers visit FPA

Former Arsenal and England forward, Kelly Smith MBE, and Chelcee Grimes, who is also a player for Fulham Ladies, attended Firth Park Academy to deliver football training sessions to 22 young schoolgirls on Monday 9 March 2020.

Both women are football ambassadors in the Barclay’s FA Women’s Super League and through the FA Girls’ School Partnerships hope to ensure greater access for young girls to play the sport.

Rewards

All pupils who participate in extra curricular clubs are awarded Children's University credits (CU)

The Sheffield Children's University (CU) is part of a national initiative which encourages and celebrates children taking part in a wide range of learning opportunities outside normal school hours. We track and reward Sheffield children who take part in learning activities including breakfast and after-school clubs, and activities in the evenings, at weekends and in holidays.

There are 10 different certificates which pupils can be awarded at Bronze, Silver or Gold level at a prestigious CU Awards Ceremony at Sheffield University twice year.
